British Airways is introducing no-cost fast in-flight internet via space-based partnership

Travelers on British Airways can soon access quick internet in the air at no cost following a recent partnership involving SpaceX's space provider.

No-cost and High-speed Internet Available to Everyone

The airline revealed that this no-cost, “fast and dependable” wifi provision via Starlink will be offered to passengers in coach, premium economy, and premium cabins from the coming month.

Expanded Implementation Over Various Flight Operators

The umbrella organization of BA, IAG, announced it had finalized an partnership with the satellite firm to offer wifi access for over 500 aircraft within its carriers, including the Irish airline, the Spanish carrier, plus the low-cost airline.

Seamless Internet starting at Boarding through Arrival

British Airways stated that the rollout of the technology was included in a £7bn “transformation” plan and will provide uninterrupted connectivity coverage to travelers from boarding through arrival, even when traveling across oceans and far-off locations.
