Waymo's Autonomous Taxis Planned for London Roads Next Year.
American firm Waymo has revealed that its driverless cabs will be available for use on London's roads starting next year.

London will be established as the first European city to host an autonomous taxi service, comparable with those currently in use in multiple US cities and four other American cities using Waymo's cutting-edge systems.

Waymo announced that its vehicles are currently en route to London and will begin operating on the capital's roads in the coming weeks with safety drivers supervising the vehicles.
The company – initially created as a derivative from Google's autonomous vehicle program and part of the Alphabet family – stated it would increase operations and collaborate with the Department for Transport and the city's mobility organization to obtain the required permissions to offer completely driverless rides by 2026.
